Global designer of smartphones HTC Corporation recently announced the launch of its newly unveiled HTC Legend mobile phone on the Singaporean market. The new device is set to become available for purchase in early April, and will offer users the possibility to enjoy the mix between the latest Android flavor from Google and the enhanced Sense solution from HTC.

“At its essence, the mobile phone is the most personal item you have in your possession. HTC Sense was created to magnify your ability to create and define your own unique mobile experience,” said Jack Tong, VP of HTC Asia. “HTC Legend takes Android to another level in both substance with HTC Sense and style with HTC Legend’s revolutionary crafted aluminum uni-body design.”

According to the mobile phone maker, the new HTC Legend has been designed around the new flavor of HTC Sense, and it comes to the market with a unique design that sports a smooth, continuous surface. The handset has been built from a single aluminum block in a seamless compact frame, the company adds.

The specifications list of HTC Legend includes a 3.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen display that boasts an HVGA resolution, an optical joystick, which replaces the traditional trackball on the company's Android phones, as well as enhanced usability courtesy of a narrow button surrounding the joystick. At the same time, the handset is set to offer a great experience courtesy of the HTC Sense solution pre-loaded with it, which revolves around three principles, just as the older Sense did, namely Make It Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected. The phone also includes Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g) and Micro-USB connectivity, as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack, built-in GPS receiver, support for a wide range of media files, microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, and Digital compass, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor. The handset will land on the market in early April via all authorized resellers, featuring a price tag of S$798. The phone includes a 2GB microSD card in the package as well.
