Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just announced the release of two new handsets running under Google's Android operating system on the market in Singapore, the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z.

The new mobile phones are expected to become available for purchase on the local market in November via various carriers and retailers in the country, priced at $888 and $868, respectively.

The new HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z Android-based smartphones come to the market with the new HTC Sense solution from the company, which should offer an enhanced experience when compared to the previously available versions.

The HTC Desire HD sports a nice range of high-end features, including a bright 4.3” Super LCD display and Dolby Mobile and SRS surround sound, while packing a new 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor. The handset also comes to the market with an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 720p HD video recording, and with an unibody design, just as the HTC Legend did.

Another appealing feature of the new device is the HTC Fast Boot solution, which shortens the boot-up sequence significantly.

The second new mobile phone, HTC Desire Z, sports both a touchscreen display and a sliding QWERTY keyboard, along with a new 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor.

At the same time, the new device comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities, and with a wide range of other features and capabilities, such as the aforementioned HTC Fast Boot solution.

According to the phone maker, the new HTC Sense is aimed at delivering a wide range of innovations, including connected services available via the HTCSense.com online portal.

“We’re excited to be taking the HTC Sense experience beyond the phone to a whole new level with a series of connected HTC services we call HTCSense.com,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation.

“Our customers will value the holistic approach we’re taking to enhance their mobile experience. This customer-first philosophy has resonated with people buying HTC phones and this drives us to continue introducing new innovative smartphones like the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z.”

The HTCSense.com portal is another appealing feature the new phones come to the market with, providing users with various options to enhance their experience and to better secure their devices.
