HTC EVO 3D the first Android-based mobile phone from HTC to offer support for the recording and playback of 3D content, is now available for pre-order on the UK market as well, following its availability in the United States via wireless carrier Sprint.

The handset was unveiled for the European market only a few weeks ago, but retailers on the old continent already picked it up and announced its availability through their outlets.

In the UK, the handset is now listed on Amazon's website, with an expected availability date of September 12th, 2011, and with a price tag of £569.99 attached to it.

Since the release date is said to be subject to changes, there is the possibility that the handset will arrive earlier than September.

Moreover, the price tag it is listed with at the moment is expected to drop near its availability date, and those who would like to reserve one unit should consider waiting a little more before pre-ordering it.

However, the HTC EVO 3D won't be cheap, as it packs specs in line with those inside HTC's Sensation, the latest flagship handset the company brought to the market.

The smartphone comes with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, along with a fast 1.2 Ghz dual core application processor inside, for increased performance capabilities.

HTC EVO 3D's selling point is on the back, represented by dual 5-megapixel cameras capable of recording 3D content in HD and 2D content in full HD resolution.

At the same time, the mobile phone sports a camera on the front, for video calling, along with 1GB of RAM for boosting up performance, and 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options.

The handset's specifications list also includes a built-in GPS receiver, along with the usual set of sensors, a microSD memory card slot for adding more storage space into the mix, and Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system to power it.
