Last month, Wireless carrier T-Mobile UK announced plans to launch the HTC Desire on its airwaves, and now the handset can be seen on the operator's website in the coming soon section. T-Mobile thus becomes the second wireless services provider in the UK to signal the near launch of HTC Desire, after the phone's emergence on Vodafone's website only a few days ago.

The HTC Desire, as most of you might already know, has been unveiled officially during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month. The handset is powered by Google's Android 2.1 operating system and boasts a 1GHz Snapdragon processor inside, this way being capable of delivering a great experience to users.

Moreover, the HTC Desire is known to be the twin brother of Nexus One by HTC, a handset launched in the beginning of the ongoing year with the Android 2.1 on board, and available for purchase exclusively via Google's web store. The performance levels delivered by Nexus One have been praised already, and Desire is expected to match them easily.

“The HTC Desire is loaded with the latest, enhanced Android 2.1. Get news, info, games and lots of clever little apps to organise your life,” T-Mobile says about the phone. “The 3.7" touchscreen uses the latest AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic LED) technology to give you sharp, vibrant colours and deep blacks for brilliant viewing,” it adds.

At the same time, we should note that the HTC Desire will offer fast access to a wide range of Google services, which are coupled with the inclusion of HTC's Sense solution in the package. Additionally, users will also enjoy a 5-megapixel camera on the phone, as well as 3.5mm audio output, MicroSD memory card slot, great connectivity options, multimedia and web capabilities, not to mention the handsets messaging features. Those who would like to learn more on the phone and on its arrival at T-Mobile should head to the carrier's website here.
