Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced officially the launch of two new Android-based handsets only a few days ago, and now rumors on their availability and pricing already started pouring in. Among them, there has an HTC Desire spotted on Amazon Germany with a €419 price tag right next to it, and also the suggestion that HTC Legend might get listed on Google's web store.

In case there are some dreaming of getting the new HTC Desire with all that Android 2.1 goodness and with its enhanced HTC Sense experience, they can now make an idea on the price tag the handset might feature when available. The €419 ($572) cost seems reasonable enough, and should appeal a lot to users, especially since it seems that Amazon is the one selling it, as Engadget points out. Unfortunately, the price for Desire has been pulled off Amazon.de, and there is no availability time frame listed, but April seems like a good guess in the end.

As for the HTC Legend, the second Android 2.1-based mobile phone HTC unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the rumor has it that it might be included in the series of devices sold via Google's web store. The same as Nexus One, already available for purchase this way, the new handset comes with a series of unique features, such as the one piece body, it is priced lower than Nexus One, and should appeal a lot to another segment of the market. In other words, Google might include it in the series only to expand the offering to more consumers, and not keep its focus on the high-end area.

There are no official details on whether this will actually happen and, while the HTC Sense solution on Legend gives it more appeal that the stock UI would, there are little chances that Google would include in the web store a device sporting another experience than its own. However, nothing is nailed down in the end, and we might see Legend soon listed along with Nexus One on Google's website, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
