Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation already announced the official release of their upcoming HTC 7 Pro smartphone on the market in the UK, and the device is already listed as available for pre-order at retailers in the country.

Those interested in the purchase of this Windows Phone 7 device would have the possibility to have it either free of contract, case in which they would have to pay £459.99 for it, or with the signing of a contract agreement with a wireless carrier in the country.

Online retailer Expansys lists the upcoming HTC 7 Pro on their website as free if purchased with a monthly contract on Vodafone's airwaves.

The contract options start at £30.65 per month (with 300 Minutes Any Network, 500 MB Internet, and Unlimited Texts Any Network), and require the signing of an agreement for 24 Months.

The HTC 7 Pro smartphone is the first Windows Phone 7 device from HTC to pack a QWERTY keyboard in addition to the touchscreen display.

The handset measures 117.5mm x 59mm x 15.5mm and weighs in at 185g, while boasting a 3.6-inch touchscreen display, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with HD 720p video recording capabilities and LED flash.

The mobile phone also includes a Qualcomm 8250 SnapDragon 1GHz application processor, 576MB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory.

3G connectivity, along with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, a range of sensors and more would also be included with the device.

“A phone that's equally at home whether you are at work or play. With support for MS Office and your emails to keep you in touch with work during the day, while the large screen is perfect for watching movies,” Expansys notes on its website.

“With Xbox Live you can play games from a huge library of console quality title, or download the latest song from your favorite artist with Zune.”
