HTC 7 Pro, the sliding Windows Phone 7 device that was announced officially back in October but which did not reach the shelves as of yet, is expected to make an appearance on the market in Europe as soon as next week, on the airwaves of wireless carrier O2 Germany.

The mobile phone carrier announced the move via Twitter, the unwired reports, and also unveiled info on the price tag the handset should sport when made available.

The company would have the new HTC 7 Pro with Windows Phone 7 available for purchase for 569 Euro off contract, but will also put it on sale with monthly plans, it seems.

For those who might have not encountered the handset before, we should note that the new Windows Phone 7 device is expected to arrive on shelves with a hardware keyboard, which should complement its tilting touchscreen display, which resembles the one on Touch Pro2.

The HTC 7 Pro includes a 3.6-inch multi-touch display which can deliver a WVGA resolution, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and LED flash, and with the ability to record 720p HD videos.

In addition to the 5-row slide-out keyboard, the upcoming mobile phone should also include a 1 GHz Qualcomm application processor, complemented by 576 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM, and 8 GB of internal flash storage.

The specifications list of this handset would also include support for quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual band UMTS/HSDPA (7.2 Mbps)/HSUPA (2 Mbps) at 900/2100 MHz connectivty.

Moreover, the new mobile phone comes with WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR capabilities, as well as with FM radio, and aGPS features.

Measuring 59 x 117.5 x 15.5 mm, the new Windows Phone 7 device weighs in at 185 g, and packs a 1500 mAh battery inside.

Since O2 Germany is a subsidiary of Telefónica, the company was expected to announce something officially but didn't, nor did it confirm the possibility that it might launch the HTC 7 Pro in the UK or Ireland too.
