Glu Mobile to develop and distribute mobile games based on Warner Bros. Entertainment content

Mobile games publisher Glu Mobile announced it has entered a mobile content partnership with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution. The agreement gives Glu Mobile the worldwide rights to develop, market and distribute mobile games and content based on new film releases as well as games and content from Warner Bros. Entertainment's library, including popular cartoon brands such as DC Comics, Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera. Also, through a separate agreement, Glu Mobile will distribute select Warner Bros. Entertainment's mobile games in 2007 throughout North and South America, including "Ocean's Thirteen" and "300."

"Warner Bros. has an immense portfolio of properties loved by millions of people around the world, and we look forward to giving fans a way to experience great games on their mobile phones," commented Greg Ballard, chief executive officer, Glu Mobile. "This multi-year partnership with Warner Bros. reinforces Glu's position as a leading independent publisher of mobile entertainment and speaks to our ability to develop and deliver quality content to consumers around the world."

Glu is a global publisher of mobile games, with a portfolio that includes original titles, such as Super K.O. Boxing!, Stranded and Brain Genius, as well as titles based on major brands, such as Atari, Harrah's, Hasbro, Microsoft, PlayFirst, PopCap Games, SEGA and Sony. The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in San Mateo, California and maintains offices in London, Hong Kong, France, Germany and Brazil.

Glu's latest mobile game announcements include Age of Empires III, the mobile version of the famous strategy game developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios, and Call of Duty, which will be made available for mobile phones via an agreement with Activision.
