The reason for this is yet unknown

A mobile magazine application, named 'EyeMags' has proved that people who own a Nokia mobile phone will give mobile content a higher rating than users of other brands of cells, even though the content is the same. The application allows anyone to create magazine-style content that is packaged into a Java application for others to download and view.

Users can then rate the content on a simple scale and since the content will work on various types and brands of phones, a comparison between how the different users rate the same content on different platform can easily be achieved. As a result, the head of development at EyeMag went on and did just that, with the initial results from 10,000 responses proving that, for some reason, Nokia users are the happiest, among all phone owners, with their content.

Nokia users were followed by people with Sony Ericsson phones, with Motorola not far behind and customers using Samsung phones being by far less enthusiastic. While it's clear that a person using a Nokia handset will enjoy the content the most, there is no answer to why they are the happiest. One potential reason is the easy-to-use, friendly interface Nokia phones include and another would be that people choosing a Nokia-branded phone as their handset seem to be more aware of the content they can download and use services that offer such content more often.

Further analysis, including breakdowns by handset model and region, is promised for the following weeks. This might actually provide an answer to why Nokia users rate the content higher.
