Although there is still a long way to go until Computex 2011 some companies have already begun promoting their products, Gigabyte being probably the first to do so during a pre-show press conference that focused on the upcoming Intel P67 based GA-P67A-UD7 motherboard and its power delivery technology and features.

During this conference, Tim Handley, Deputy Director of Motherboard Marketing at Gigabyte, talked about the company's upcoming GA-P67A-UD7 flagship motherboard and its power delivery technology.

Much like the X58A-UD9 motherboard that was launched last year at Computex, the GA-P67A-UD7 comes with a 24 phase power design, an Intel approved Intersil Voltage Regulator Down 12 compliant PWM controller as well as with dual CPU power technology.

Furthermore, this motherboard will also come with Driver MOSFETs, Gigabyte's latest addition to the Ultra Durable 3 design as well as with no less than 10 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports.

According to the Taiwanese company, Driver MOSFETs allow for higher power transfer and increased efficiency at higher switching frequencies to satisfy the power requirements of modern processors while also reducing VRM real estate requirements.

Support for 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX multi-GPU configurations will be also available in Gigabyte's LGA 1155 flagship motherboard along with the company's Dual BIOS technology and 3TB hard drive booting compliance.

“The amount and quality of power is the key to CPU performance, as we demonstrated earlier this year with the industry-leading CPU power design on the X58A-UD9 motherboard that is capable of delivering up to 1500Watts,” commented Tim Handley.

“CPU power design improvements on the 6 series motherboards include the Intel VRD 12 approved Intersil PWM controller chip, as well as high quality Driver MOSFETs that ensure better efficiency with first class system performance and stability.”

Unfortunately, Gigabyte didn't said when will this motherboard, or any other P67 offerings for that matter of fact, will arrive to the market.
