It's been quite a busy day for Asus, the company showing a really large part of its P67 motherboard line-up today, the ROG Maximus IV Extreme and Sabertooth P67 being the latest LGA 1155 motherboards build by the Taiwanese manufacturer to surface.

As most of you probably know by now, the Maximus IV Extreme is part of the ROG series of motherboards, these being specially designed for the most demanding gamers out there, the main selling point of the Maximus IV Extreme motherboard being its tri-SLI support.

This is possible thanks to an NF200 chip, that allows up to three Nvidia boards to be run at the same time for a truly spectacular performance increase.

Apart from this feature, users also get no less than eight USB 3.0 ports, as well as the ROG Connect feature, on-board Power and Reset buttons, eSATA and SATA 6Gbps connectivity, and a backpanel Clear CMOS switch.

A debug display for the BIOS is also present this being one of the most sought after features that Asus left out of its previous generation motherboards.

Speaking of the BIOS this also uses Asus' new EFI BIOS that we have already covered in a previous report.

This solution is also used by the second motherboard pictured by Asus, the military-grade Sabertooth P67, this unique looking motherboard coming with a shroud that is designed to channel airflow throughout the whole surface of the motherboard as well as an impressive 5 year warranty.

USB 3.0 is also present as well as CrossFireX and SLI support, making this one truly impressive motherboard especially if you consider the extreme conditions this can be run in.

Awesome as they may be, these motherboard will surely carry a pretty hefty price tag once they will be released, so if you plan on building an Sandy Bridge systems maybe the P8P67 Pro or P8P67 Deluxe, that we also covered, could came as better (in this case meaning affordable) options.
