Report claims Geri Halliwell is working on her music comeback, wants to launch record label as well

With rumors about a possible / probable Spice Girls reunion still making the rounds, former Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell is working on making a music comeback as a solo artist, new reports coming in are saying.

Fans know that, after she left the Spice Girls, Geri was quite a hit as a solo artist. By 2005’s “Passion,” though, interest in her seemed to have dwindled, as the album tanked immediately upon release.

The Daily Mail now says that Geri is busy working on her comeback, convinced that people will be buying her music again – and even thinking of started her own record label so as to be able to play by her own rules.

Admittedly, she’s even found a few young artists whom to sign on the yet-untitled label – and some of them are X Factor rejects from the previous seasons.

“The former Spice Girl set to make her comeback on her own record label too. She’s also said to be working with a new girl group who’s she’s planning to release on her imprint – rumored to be X Factor rejects Belle Amie,” the Daily Mail reports citing ongoing reports.

Until she gets going on others’ career, though, Geri will be working on her own: she’s to go into the record studio soon, to record a cover for a classic and have it released as a single.

“But beforehand, she’s set to enter the studio in the New Year to work on her comeback single, which is thought to be a beefed-up cover version of a classic track,” the Mail goes on to say.

Geri is even rumored to be keeping in touch with former Spice Girl Victoria for input on what tracks to include on the comeback material.

“She has been texting all of her friends – including Victoria and David Beckham – asking for their favorite tracks for her to record,” a spy is cited as saying.
