Netsize is, by definition, a company that bases its business on mobile communication, on one side, and on the enablement of mobile commerce on the other. Yesterday, it was announced that Gameloft, the game developer and publishing giant, had signed an agreement with Netsize, thus implementing from thereon the mPayment solution. This recent development has enabled Netsize to ascend far up the mobile commerce enabler ladder.

By taking this decision, Gameloft is giving its customers the opportunity to purchase their mobile games via premium SMS or from the Gameloft WAP shops, thus saving time and energy. Seemingly, Netsize was chosen because of its pan-European coverage in WAP billing. Also, the mPayment solution, including the Payforit feature, is believed to be very successful in the U.K., where Netsize is an accredited payment intermediary.

So as to get the bigger picture, we must mention that the Payforit feature allows interested customers to buy all sorts of goods by having them charged on their phone bill, or extracted from their prepay credit. Also, customers using Netsize will benefit from pricing flexibility, and will also receive all the information requested on their bill in order for them to fully comprehend the amount of money they are going to, or have already paid.

Netsize has also taken game developers into consideration, and has come up with some solutions to keep them satisfied as well, namely, in this case, by making it easy for Gameloft to integrate mobile payment into their games.

Eve Arakelian, B2C Director for Gameloft, stated the following regarding the decision to go with mobile payment: "Mobile payment is critical to our business and our decision to work with Netsize is based on how their platform enables us to give our customers the best buying experience. [..] Netsize provides a solid platform solution that does just that, while at the same time being able to handle very large transaction volumes in the most efficient way."

Through this collaboration, Netsize has really outdone itself, as chances for it to grow as a company have increased significantly, mostly because of the option of collaborating with other developers as well. Plus, the partnership with Gameloft is sure to boost its reputation and to make it more desirable for other major companies as well. In any case, in the U.K., Netsize has now become the greatest mobile payment intermediary, mostly because of its Payforit mPayment plan, which seems to be very successful.

Ludovic Maupain, VP Marketing and Operator Partnerships, Netsize, also explained in more detail what joint plans with Gameloft they had. "We're delighted to be deepening our relationship with Gameloft. Gaming is a key growth segment in mobile value added services globally and Netsize has supported Gameloft in its successful deployment across Europe based on the breadth of our offering in bidirectional messaging, SMS billing and WAP Billing." Maupain explained.
