Verizon, the second largest mobile operator in the US, announced yesterday the availability of three new mobile games, developed by Gameloft, through its V Cast service. Subscribers of V Cast will be now able to download and play NFL 2009, Asphalt 4: Elite Racing and The Oregon Trail.

NFL 2009 is a mobile game that, as the name says, offers fans a genuine NFL experience since it features both the AFC and the NGC conference team. In addition to that, it also includes all the athletes and their detailed statistics that are available through a license with the NFL Players (the marketing and licensing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association). In this game, players will be able to use offensive and defensive playbook tactics, of which the producer says they are spectacular, in order to get their team to the end zone. NFL 2009 gives users the rush of the football season, according to Verizon.

Asphalt 4: Elite Racing will transpose players in the urban racing world that they have to master, using more than ten dream cars and bikes that range from Bugatti Veyron to a Ferarry F430 Spider, Nissan GT-R and Ducati 1098. The races take place in Monte Carlo, Beverly Hills, Shanghai, New York City, Dubai and Paris, thus taking players to all the possible roads and environments, from rainy to sunny and sandy.

The game The Oregon Trail will bring back the nostalgia of the already famous title, and will allow users to test their problem-solving, decision-making, and role-playing skills - all this, while players are taken to the west, on a journey that has Oregon as its final destination.

NFL 2009 and The Oregon Trail are available on Verizon's V Cast for a $2.99 monthly access fee, or $6.99 for unlimited use purchase, while Asphalt 4: Elite Racing will cost $2.99 for monthly access, or $5.99 for unlimited use purchase.
