Samsung aims at 10 million Galaxy S users

It seems that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung managed to bring two highly appealing handsets to the market during the ongoing year, namely the Samsung Wave and the Samsung Galaxy S. According to the latest news around the Internet, both handsets managed to top 1 million units sold within only several weeks since their landing on the market.

The Samsung Wave is the company's first device to come to shelves with the new bada operating system. The handset was put on sale in various markets around the world only about four weeks ago, and it seems that the company already managed to sell more than 1 million units, a recent post on Samsung Hub reads.

While the bada operating system is relatively unknown, though Samsung made a great deal of efforts to push it forth to the developing community and to user's hearts. Among these efforts, we can count the fact that it packed the Samsung Wave with a great deal of high-end features, including a large touchscreen display, a powerful processor, appealing connectivity options, and more.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S, it is one of the hottest Android-based devices released in 2010, as well as the nicest such phone Samsung launched on the market. It managed to top 300,000 units sold in Korea in less than three weeks since launch, and it seems that it already toped that 1 million devices sold milestone, with an aim at 10 million units in the near future.

Undoubtedly, the handset has all that it takes to do so, and its availability in a great deal of markets around the world should help Samsung achieve its purpose. Las month, Shin Jong-kyun, Samsung's mobile business division's president, said that the handset vendor is set to sell more than 10 million Galaxy S units all around the world, and that goal seems closer to completion than before, that's for sure.
