Galaxy S IV

is only a few hours away from becoming official, yet enthusiasts are already dreaming of what the future might bring along, and a new concept device has emerged to provide us with a glimpse at that.

Dubbed Galaxy S VI, the concept phone comes from Vilim Pluzaric and appears meant to break the pattern established by today’s high-end Android handsets, as concept-phones notes.

Even so, you’ll be surprised to learn that the concept device returns to some of the basic features and specs of smartphones, and that it sports only a 4.5-inch touchscreen display. However, it is a full HD screen, and should deliver a great viewing experience while on the go.

Of course, bigger appears to be better today, yet this concept phone’s designer appears convinced that there might be a limit to how large Android smartphones could grow, and that a device smaller than 5 inches could easily prove better than a phablet.

Even so, the concept smartphone is impressively thin, featuring a non-rectangular surface of the screen, while being protected by a new type of nano-coating, dubbed Hyperskin.

All connectivity is made wirelessly, which means that there’s no headphone jack included, nor a USB port. Due to that, the outer design of Galaxy S VI appears smooth and continuous.

The concept handset will be powered by Google’s upcoming Android 6.0, while featuring the Gravity UX loaded on top.

A next-generation battery packed inside the smartphone should be able to provide users with up to one week of usage on a single charge.

Furthermore, there should be an 18-megapixel photo snapper on phone’s the back, capable of delivering great imaging and video recording capabilities.

For the time being, however, Galaxy S VI is only a concept device, and it might never arrive on shelves under this form, provided, of course, that Samsung is actually considering launching a sixth handset in the popular series.
