Samsung Galaxy S II, the high-end Android-based mobile phone that was brought to the market in the UK in late April, is now available for purchase via Amazon for only £424.49, SIM-free and unlocked.

The mobile phone is listed on this retailer's website with the said price tag attached to it, and also with a shipping date of only one day, meaning that all those who will order it today will receive it as soon as tomorrow, Wednesday, June 29th.

According to some, this is one of the best deals available for the flagship handset from Samsung, even if it might not seem so for all people. After all, it still goes for around $680 US dollars.

However, this is one of the lowest price tags at which the Samsung Galaxy S II was seen, and will certainly determined users to pick it up instead of going for other Android devices out there.

The Galaxy S II was launched as Samsung's new flagship handset, the successor of last year's Galaxy S, and already managed to become one of the most popular phones in the various markets where it was launched in the past two months or so.

The mobile phone comes with a large 4.3 inch SUPER AMOLED Plus display and sports a dual-core 1.2GHz application processor inside.

If these specs alone won't make you want one, you should also know that the handset sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy S II was also packed with HSPA+ capabilities, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS receiver, 3.5mm headphone jack, and with the usual set of sensor.

Moreover, it arrives on shelves with 1GB of RAM to boost the performance capabilities, and with 16GB of internal memory, expandable by an addition 32GB via microSD memory card slot.

The handset runs under Android 2.3 Gingerbread and offers support for mobile applications and games from the Android Market, as well as for various Google Mobile Services.
