Pokemon-watch out!

Over two years have gone by since GTA: San Andreas was released for the PS2 in America and Europe. Two years filled with car-jacking and gang related fights. Sadly for the Japanese, they were not able to enjoy this grand title from Rockstar until now. But when there's a will there's a way, and Take-Two signed a contract with Capcom to publish the game in Japan.

Capcom was also the company that published Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in Japan, and this decision of Take-Two of awarding Capcom the possibility of bringing San Andreas to Japanese fans seems a fair and correct one. If something is broken why fix it?

Gamasutra reports that in spite of the big success registered by GTA III and Vice City in Japan, San Andreas will have a hard time making its name on the Japanese market, as the Kanagawa prefecture has classified the game as "harmful material" and has banned its sale to anyone below 18.

The Japanese games rating commission has developed a new rating, specially meant for games that not fall in any category. The name of this category is "Z" and has been applied to Dead Rising also published by Capcom, and apparently, it will also be applied to San Andreas.
