THQ has put out the full character roster for their upcoming UFC Undisputed 2010 and it's quite a packed one, with a lot of fighters and combat styles players can choose from in their quest to become the ultimate champion of the fighting league. UFC Undisputed 2010 is set to arrive on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the PlayStation Portable handheld on May 25. THQ promises that the new videogame will allow gamers to perform more complex moves, will enhance the ground combat game and will be closer to how UFC works in real life.

There are quite a few fighters set to appear in UFC Undisputed 2010. In the Heavyweight category, the new appearances are: Mustapha Al-Turk; Pat Barry; Shane Carwin; Junior Dos Santos; Todd Duffee; Kimbo Slice and Stefan Struve. There are also fighters only part of promotional deals linked to stores, like Marcus Jones, James McSweeney, Roy Nelson and Brendan Schaub.

In the Light Heavyweight division, the fresh faces are: Jason Brilz; Luiz Cane; Steve Cantwell; Matt Hamill; Jon Jones and Krzysztof Soszynski. In the Light Heavyweight & Middleweight division, just Vitor Belfort is a new option, while in the Middleweight category, players will be able to use: Yoshihiro Akiyama; Alan Belcher; Patrick Cote; Dennis Kang; Dan Miller; Nate Quarry and Chael Sonnen.

The Welterweight class includes Carlos Condit, Dan Hardy, Dustin Hazelett, Dong Hyun Kim, Paulo Thiago, Frank Trigg and James Wilks as new fighters. There are also fresh faces in the Lightweight division, with Terry Etim, Cole Miller, Ross Pearson, Kurt Pellegrino, Clay Guida, Dennis Siver and Caol Uno as new possibilities for character selection.

Notable absences from the list of 100 combat ready stars are Randy Couture and Wanderlei Silva. Couture was probably shunned because of his contract with the rival MMA franchise coming from EA Sports, and Silva could also be in talks to sign up to that project.
