The HTC Love is an Artemis without the GPS abilities.

Get ready people, because HTC has another goodie for you all, a smartphone that we should all love as its names says it. The HTC Love handheld, as far as I know until now, is an HTC Artemis without the GPS capabilities and also a device that some of you may already have in your pockets but under another name: Dopod M700.

As the rumors say, the Love should be exactly the same device with the M700, the single difference between them being their brands: one will be selling as a HTC handset and the other is already on the market as a Dopod handheld.

This will be a quad-band phone that will offer GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, an integrated FM radio for the ones of you that can't get too far without satisfying their need to listen to their favorite radio station, a Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system that will come with all the benefits provided by its supported list of applications, a 2 megapixel digital camera, 128 MB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM built-in memory, all of these being driven with the help of a 250 MHz TI OMAP 850 processor that doesn't seem that capable to keep all the things going around in order when compared to the other more powerful processor available at this time on the smartphone market.

Despite this fact, the OMAP 850 is a pretty good choice if the Love will not be used at its full capacity 24/7 and will get you through the day without many delays in its operation.

If you feel some love for the PDA I just told you about, you have two options. The first is to get a Dopod M700 that, as the word goes, will offer you the same feature package under a different name or, the second one, you can wait until next year when HTC will probably release all its Love to the mobile market.

The choice is yours to make!
