i-mate has displayed at the Microsoft Tech-Ed Barcelona the PDA L handset that will come as an improvement to the older series of devices being much lighter and providing the users a bigger screen that will offer higher quality images.

The next thing that makes it a little more special when placed aside the other i-mates is the fact that this is one of the few handhelds distributed by i-mate not being manufactured by the worldwide known manufacturer HTC.

The PDA L GSM/GPRS/EDGE Pocket PC runs a Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition operating system on a TI OMAP 200 MHz 800 processor, and will provide its users with 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM, a 2 megapixel digital camera, a 2.4 inch TFT display with portrait or landscape orientation, a 5-way navigation pad, wireless Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and a 4 hours talk time thanks tot he 1100 mAh battery.

The release date or the price of the PDA L are still unknown but, as the word goes, the handset will be released to the general public very soon and it will also come with a very nice price tag.
