The device will probably be launched in early 2007.

It seems the guys from HTC aren't standing with the hands in their pockets, because the rumors say they are working on a major update of the Excalibur, a device that will cover all the things the Excalibur failed to deliver to its users.

The new device is known as the HTC Cavalier and the main thing that will make it a "must have" for the fans is the 400 MHz Samsung processor that will give a new meaning to the "fast working" saying.

The Cavalier will get quad-band UMTS/HSPDA radios together with GPRS and EDGE data transfer technologies, plus, as the cherry on top of the cake, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity. It will also feature a 2.4 inch 320x240 resolution QVGA screen, a 2 megapixel digital camera, 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM, wireless Bluetooth 2.0, therefore its spec sheet will make the Excalibur predecessor blush in shame when standing aside it.

There are no available pictures of the Cavalier yet, and the price is also unknown, but one should know this is a device that will hit the market most probably around early 2007 and - when that happens - all the Q owners out there will surely wonder why they haven't waited a few months to get their hands on this super-fast HTC jewel.
