14 DAY TRIAL // Bret Lockett claims he had a 5-month affair with Kim Kardashian, who just recently got engaged to Kris Humphries. While the two, Lockett and Kardashian, are getting ready to take this to court, one person is keeping his cool: Kris is convinced Kim would not cheat on him.
Shortly after Kim proudly announced her engagement in a very lucrative (for her) cover story for People magazine, Lockett was telling the media he had proof that she was a liar because she’d cheated on Kris for 5 months with him.
Kim immediately fought back, calling him a “loser I never even met” on her personal blog and telling him he should be ashamed of himself for piggybacking on her fame for his 15 minutes in the spotlight.
The only one who hasn’t said anything yet is the man who’s been cheated reportedly, Kris himself – and that’s only because he doesn’t believe Kim would ever do this to him, a friend of his tells PopEater.
Kris loves and trusts his future wife, which is why he wouldn’t deign to comment on Lockett’s story. Plus, he doesn’t want to give him the satisfaction of getting even more media attention with his lies.
“Kris knows none of it is true. He trusts and loves Kim,” says the insider.
“That’s not to say he doesn’t want to protect his future wife from fools talking [expletive] about her, he knows fighting back will just give this guy more press attention,” the spy adds.
On the other hand, Kris must have seen something like this coming along or, at least, he imagined stories would be made up to sell tabloids: after all, he IS dating Kim Kardashian.
“She is one of the most photographed and talked about women in America,” another insider says for the same publication.
“It’s not easy getting used to the amount of photographers that follow her everywhere. Most men wouldn’t be able to put up with all this attention, but Kris is a special type of guy,” the tipster adds, explaining how Kris deals with the media attention.
