New MMO game promises to bring us the best experience

Post-apocalyptic massively multiplayer games that mix first person shooter action with RPG elements are really enjoyable titles, if done correctly. Fallen Earth might be one of these - and we're only one step away from seeing it for ourselves.

The Fallen Earth team worked hard for the past six months for the game developed using the Icarus Studios Tools Suite platform and they are really excited to announce us that their title is now "feature complete" and ready for the Alpha stage. Of course, this means that it has still a long way to go until a full release, but at least we can already feel the smell of beta stages.

Colin Dwan, who was promoted from Lead Engineer to Project Manager, said, "Fallen Earth has great technology and tons of content, but we needed to put a stake in the ground about all the features that were absolutely necessary to ship with. Now that we've finalized that long list, we've been able to spend all of our time making those features really fun."

A lot of things were rebuilt and recreated the past months and the developers promise an experience like no other, with giant super soldiers, vicious killer fungi and completely revamped towns. Also, a lot of new vehicle models have been created and the entire vehicle combat system improved in order to offer players the best experience on the market. And we truly hope they have actually managed to do all these because we always like things we can consider "the best".

Still, even though this Fallen Earth project sounds really, really exciting, we have no details regarding a possible beta stage start or, even better, a release date. The development team is not in a hurry and that is always a good thing when it comes to computer and video games today - the more time spent in development, the better the actual game should be (hear that, Duke Nukem Forever?).
