Android mobile phone users who enjoy accessing Facebook from their mobile phones would certainly rejoice learning that a new version of the mobile client that allows them to access the social networking site is now available for purchase.

Following the release of Facebook for Android 1.5.3, which caused more issues than it resolved, the development team behind the application released Facebook for Android 1.5.4, which reportedly fixes the bugs included in the previous version.

Apparently, the new version of Facebook for Android indeed solves the problems that caused the application to continuously crash, making it unusable.

Not all mobile phones running under Android were affected by the issues with Facebook for Android 1.5.3, but the new release is available for everyone.

Both those who had problems with the previous release, as well as those who didn't, should head to the Android Market here to download the new application flavor.

Since social networking is one of the most popular activities on mobile phones these days, Android users should know that another such mobile client was updated recently, namely Twitter.

The new version of the application was released with a wide range of enhancements inside, including:

Displays search results in a tabbed view Add and remove saved searches from universal search suggestions SSL used for network requests Font size setting Tapping on a map in detail view searches nearby Tweets Launch links directly from a message Ability to delete messages Added Tweet count to user profile Improved avatar loading Improved the way data is cleared to conserve more space Fixed a bug where music skips when refreshing, etc.
