If there's anything that makes greater news than free demos of popular games up on services such as Xbox Live and PlayStation Network... let me know so I can make a new category folder on my PC. As xboxliveaddicts.co.uk recently reported, official word from Electronic Arts says that they'll be rolling out the FIFA 08 demo on Thursday. Both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be glad to see that the demo is up on XBLM and PSN ready for the taking, towards the end of this week.

As the source reports, EA officials have made the following entry over on their community forum:

"The demo will Great news!

I wanted to update you with the official release date of both PS3 and Xbox 360 demos on Sony Network and Marketplace.

Both demos are now set for release on Sept 13.""The demo will Great news!

So September 13, this week is the day when both XBLM and PSN users will be able to experience EA's latest installment in the popular FIFA franchise, first hand. One of the game's most impressive features could very well be the AI, with a 35-point decision engine which enables players to process 1,000 potential options and reactions every second in real time -- more than 60,000 options every minute -- via a dynamic 'Threat Map' system to capture the excitement and realism of soccer.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg, as you can imagine. We could tell you more about the game (having gathered just about every bit of released information about the game to date), but it's so much better if you see everything with your own eyes, without some news editor spoiling your fun. So, until Thursday sees FIFA 08 up on XBLM and PSN, check out other headlines within our games section every now and then.
