Yes, this is EA's day alright. They're pulling out the big guns as this is the third exciting announcement they're making in less than 24 hours. The leading developer and publisher of video games has confirmed that EA Playground, EA's upcoming title currently under development in Canada, is set for release on the Wii and DS on October 23rd, in North America, and on November 2nd, in Europe.

EA has set EA Playground's price point at $39.99 in the States, making it more than affordable for addicted Wii gamers. "EA EA Playground has been designed to be accessible and fun, making it the perfect game to enjoy by yourself or with your friends and family," said Executive Producer, David McCarthy. "Young, old, male or female, this is a game that expands the appeal of videogames to a market of non-traditional gamers. For kids it's about indulging in the energy and magic of the EA Playground; for parents or even grandparents, it's about re-experiencing childhood thrills."

Just as Wii Sports, EA Playground is a great party game that will bring friends and family together to compete in fun and EA Playground games. As you can imagine, EA Playground also features both single player and multiplayer modem while there are some activity games included, that are played throughout the single player campaign to earn power-ups and collectables.

For those who are only now hearing of this great title, here's the full list of playground games for the Wii version of the game:

- Dodgeball - Paper Racers - Kicks - Dart Shootout - Wall Ball - Slot Car Racing - Tetherball

As far as activity games are concerned (again, for the Wii version of EA Playground), gamers will choose from:

- Freethrows - Bug Hunt - Dribbling

The playground games for the DS are:

- Dodgeball - Hoops - Hopscotch - RC Racers - Bug Hunt - Kicks - Skate & Sketch - Spitballs - Trampoline

That's about it. Now remember: EA Playground launches on October 23rd, in North America, and on November 2nd, in Europe for Nintendo's two popular consoles, the Wii and DS. The game is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB with a descriptor for Mild Cartoon Violence in North America. Europe's PEGI saw the game with different eyes rating it 3+.
