Codemasters, hot off the heels of releasing Dirt 3 around the world, has confirmed the release date of its next racing game, F1 2011, and announced that it has struck a publishing deal with THQ for North America.

Codemasters has just shipped Dirt 3, but isn't slowing down, as the UK-based studio confirmed that it has struck a publishing deal with THQ, in order to have four of its upcoming games published by the company in North America.

"The THQ Partners initiative truly resonated with us," said Rod Cousens, CEO of Codemasters. "THQ stands as a publishing force in North America and provides us the mindshare, commitment and resources of their organization to successfully drive Codemasters products in this very important market."

These titles include the recent Dirt 3, Operation Flashpoint Red River, a multiplatform shooter set to appear on June 7, Bodycount, an all-new shooter experience which will be released later this summer, and the F1 2011 racing game.

Speaking of F1 2011, the company confirmed the intended release schedule of the new racing game which is going to appear for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles on September 23, while versions for the Nintendo 3DS and Sony Next Generation Portables are also going to be released at a later time.

What's peculiar is that F1 2011, as of yet, hasn't been confirmed for the PC, meaning that a pretty big part of Codemasters' fan community won't be able to get the racing simulator.

The company always pushed the PC platform forward by showcasing great graphics with its recent games, as well as support for a variety of steering wheels, which added to the realism of the racing titles.

Expect more details about F1 2011 as well as the other few games that will appear from Codemasters, in the near future.
