Actress Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are getting a divorce: for real, this time. Following a couple of days of maddening rumors, it has been confirmed that Longoria is seeking divorce – and spousal support.

TMZ was the first to break the news, saying the other day that it had it from very reliable sources that Tony had filed divorce papers. The e-zine went back on its story shortly after. After the rumor broke, a publicist for the couple denied it, saying no one was filing for divorce and that the two continued to be happily married.

As it turns out, it wasn’t exactly so. Extra TV reports that Eva has decided to seek divorce amidst rumors that Tony has been cheating on her – at least via text messages, if not physically.

“Extra confirmed the actress found hundreds of text messages from another woman on Parker’s phone. Reports say it is Erin Barry, the wife of one of the NBA player’s former teammates, Brent Barry,” Extra writes.

Barry is currently in the middle of a divorce from Erin and she seems to have turned to Tony for solace. Rumor has it the two have not been intimate yet, but the sole fact of having an emotional affair broke Eva’s trust in Tony.

“Eva wants everyone to know, she’s devastated by the rumors of Tony’s infidelity. She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split. But she’s strong,” Mario Lopez, who is Eva’s best friend and who also happens to work for Extra, says.

Eva herself broke her silence to tweet about the divorce, thus putting an end once and for all to rumors about the state of her marriage. She says nothing of the cheating rumors, though.

“It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness,” the actress wrote on her Twitter.

Divorce papers obtained by TMZ reveal Eva is citing “irreconcilable differences,” while also asking for spousal support. The two signed a prenup on June 21, 2007, amended in June 2009.
