Video game publisher has made a number of domain registrations for a game that seems to be titled Command & Conquer: Alliances and might get the official reveal during the Video Game Awards ceremony.

There are 15 domains that are linked to the game and the actual registration process was done by a company called Corporate Domains, with Electronic Arts mentioned in two of the contact fields.

Here are all the domains that were registered and seem to be linked to the Command & Conquer franchise:

The small teaser image revealed by BioWare about the new game it is working on suggests that the company is working on something linked to Command & Conquer, with the Victory Games studio actually handling the development process.

Victory was set up during 2009 to create a new game in the long running strategy series, but since then EA has not revealed any information about the game and the studio was thought to be dismantled.

It is not yet clear why the BioWare label, which is linked to MMO and role playing game development, is linked to the Command & Conquer series.

Since it was initially launched Command & Conquer has received six core games and no less than eight expansions and spin-off titles.

The series has become known for the Full Motion Video sequences, the larger than life characters and the weird, time travelling plots.

Unfortunately, the series failed to innovate when it comes to actual real time strategy mechanics and the fourth full game in the Command & Conquer series was coldly received by the player base.

The new game might be more focused on story and small scale engagements and might be launched on the PC and on home consoles during 2013.
