Get ready to gamble with the mob

Online services play a considerable role when it comes to the consoles of this generation as they usually offer gamers one of the most important experiences in terms of interaction. Sure, you can play a game alone, but the amount of fun and entertainment you get to have while playing it online with friends or even complete strangers is much more impressive.

That is why Sony launched the PlayStation Home service, which aims to be an interactive social network for all PlayStation 3 users around the world, a place where they can talk with family, friends and befriend people with the same passions and hobbies like them.

We've already heard the Home managers boast the fact that it will grow by leaps and bounds, but now it seems that their partners will deliver on this promise, as Electronic Arts has just announced a brand new Home space dedicated to the recently released Godfather II video game. Now don’t go thinking that this will be the headquarters to the Home mob, as the activities here consist only of Texas Hold 'Em competitions.

You will be able to play the famous poker game with your friends and see just who is the most skilled in gambling from your group. Also, in honor of this new space, the Home team will be hosting a Celebrity poker tournament, as players are asked to decorate their avatars in order to resemble their favorite celebrities and start gambling from 5 PM PT or 8 PM EST.

These aren't the only news reports for Home users, as Capcom will make a major refresh to the Resident Evil 5 space in the service by adding a mini-game quest and a souvenir shop filled with things related to RE5, including costumes. Also, on April 16, various Home and Capcom staff members will be present between 3 PM and 7 PM PT (6 PM and 10 PM EST) in the space in order to play with users a quick chapter of the game in co-op mode.

All in all, Sony's Home is becoming more and more attractive by getting new spaces and features. Hopefully, this growth will continue and we will all be able to see each other in the online service.
