14 DAY TRIAL // Sandbox games are very popular due to the freedom that they give the player in order to pursue anything they want in an open world. If the story offers a lot of motivation to the player, than success is almost guaranteed.
That is what EA thought when it released the first Godfather game, an open world take on Mario Puzo's book and the legendary film trilogy. It wasn't very successful, but the company now aims to get things right, and will release The Godfather II, in collaboration with Paramount Entertainment, on April 7 in North America and April 10 in the rest of the world.
The game has barely reached gold status and the two companies have already announced three DLC packs that would be available starting with April 23 for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Here are the details on each.
The Pentangeli Map Pack: Download for the all-new Cuba multiplayer map and the Junkyard multiplayer map. 6.75 dollars / 540 MS points.
Level 4 Weapons Bundle: Download this collection to receive the Modern Dillinger, the .700 Magnum Impact, the Herzstopper, the MG-S1 Sniper Wolfe, and the Street Sweeper. 4 dollars / 320 MS points.
Jack of All Trades: Download Jimmy Lira – the Jack of All Trades to have this character in your family. Jimmy Lira starts out with the arsonist, engineer, medic, and safecracker specialties and comes equipped with a level 2 machine gun – the MP38. 4 dollars / 320 MS points.
If players want to purchase the three DLC packs, there is an option of buying The Collection Bundle, which will only cost 10 dollars or 800 MS Points. But considering the fact that the game hasn't even been launched yet, you might want to test it out before saving up for these new DLC packs. Hopefully, the open world mob adventures will make its family proud and we will enjoy a great time building up a crime empire.
