14 DAY TRIAL // Though she was reluctant to admit that she was dating Joe Jonas in the first place, now that the cat is out of the bag, Disney star Demi Lovato simply can’t stop gushing about her wonderful boyfriend. As cited by People magazine, just recently, Demi admitted that she wanted to tell the world that she was in love, just like any other teenager in her situation would probably do.
We were also telling you a couple of weeks ago that Demi had accidentally confirmed dating Joe Jonas during a radio interview. Somehow, the 17-year-old star got lured into talking about her friends, and let it slip that she and Joe Jonas had taken the step from good friends to being a romantic item. Over the weekend, the two attended Kids’ Choice Awards together, thus making the relationship official, in true celebrity fashion.
“Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas may have only recently gone public about being a couple – but the teen star isn’t exactly shy about sharing her feelings for her beau. ‘It’s amazing!’ she gushed to the Canadian entertainment show eTalk at Saturday’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. ‘It’s a great feeling! When you’re in love, you want the world to know! […] They call us Jemi, which I think is pretty funny,’ said Lovato,” People magazine writes.
“Lovato, 17, also told eTalk that she gets stopped on the street by strangers who want to know what’s going on with her beau, 20. ‘It’s really weird, because random strangers will be like, How's Joe?’ she said. ‘And I’m just like, What? But it’s fun. It’s really special, and we’re having a good time.’ The pair met on the set of Camp Rock in 2007 and grew close the following year, when Lovato toured with the Jonas Brothers. Last week, they performed their duet ‘Make a Wave’ on American Idol,” the publication goes on to say.
Before getting closer to Jonas on tour, Demi Lovato dated Miley Cyrus’ brother, Trace. They broke up in the summer of 2009, with Trace telling the media that they had decided going their separate ways was the best idea at the time, given they were barely spending any time together, what with each seeing to their respective career and touring.
