It appears that Dell Venue Pro was not delayed as much as some of the latest rumors on it suggested. Its maker is currently hard at work with ramping up production to meet demand, and says that the first back orders should start shipping as soon as Friday.

This announcement should put to a rest various rumors regarding the delay of the Windows Phone 7-based Dell Venue Pro to early January next year.

However, the company does admit that it has delayed some shipments lately, and that some deliveries would be pushed back a little more, but things are not as bad as believed, it seems.

“It is true we recently experienced a slight delay in shipment times. Those delays will affect some customers shipping dates,” Dell's Lionel Menchaca states in a recent blog post.

“We will be following up with many of you directly. The January 6 date that’s being reported could be correct for some but not all, as ship times vary by customer and the date/ time that they placed an order.”

At the same time, he states that the company plans on delivering more Dell Venue Pro devices to users starting with Friday.

“Dell is planning more deliveries to customers beginning Friday, and throughout next week, so we expect all back orders to be delivered shortly,” he notes.

Dell is aiming at aligning “shipments with arrival expectations,” but its main focus at the moment is on delivering “the right out-of-box experience so customers are happy with their purchase.”

Dell Venue Pro was hit by various issues, which might have delayed the delivery of the units to end users. However, chances are that Dell managed to solve the problems, and that it would ship the handset as stated above.

“We’re continuing to monitor our manufacturing and supplies and will make every effort to align shipments with arrival expectations,” Lionel Menchaca stated. Stay tuned to learn more on this.
