Today, computer maker Dell added to its online store the first Windows Phone 7 device it brought to the market, the Dell Venue Pro, now available for purchase in two different versions, depending on the internal memory, namely 8GB and 16GB, respectively.

The handset was put on sale in the United States today, exclusively on T-Mobile's airwaves, though it would be sold only via Dell's online store, or through Microsoft. According to Dell, it expects for the first units to ship by December 9th.

“Available immediately at Microsoft retail stores, Store.Microsoft.com, and today direct from Dell, the Venue Pro is a Windows Phone 7 Smartphone featuring a cutting-edge portrait layout QWERTY keypad for faster text entry, editing and connecting with friends and family,” the company announced.

We already reported that the handset made an appearance at Dell with a price tag of $149.99 attached to it if purchased with a contract agreement, but it seems that more purchase options were made available for users.

All of these options include connectivity with T-Mobile USA's network, and the contract options are only available for this carrier's customers.

Here's what users can choose from:

New Activation: 8GB = $99.99 New Activation: 16GB = $149.99 Upgrade Activation: 8GB = $199.99 Upgrade Activation: 16GB = $249.99 Without Contract: 8GB = $449.99 Without Contract: 16GB = $499.99

For what it's worth, the device is pretty appealing, and its specifications list could appeal to any user out there, starting with the 4.1” WVGA AMOLED multi-touch display (with rugged Gorilla Glass on top), and going to the portrait sliding form factor, with a QWERTY keypad included into the mix.

The mobile phone also includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, a 5MP auto-focus camera, and support for various services, including Xbox LIVE for games, or Zune for music and video.

“No matter how you slide it, the Dell Venue Pro with Windows Phone 7 brings a fresh new approach of doing more with less,” said Michael Tatelman, Dell vice president and general manager, Dell consumer sales and marketing.

“We’re continuing a path of creating smart, innovative and new mobile experiences to help people discover new ways to enjoy the web, connect with friends, and navigate their lives.”
