14 DAY TRIAL // She resisted offers of posing with her baby bump for the cover of celebrity magazines and she continues to refuse to do things by the celebrity “book.” Instead of striking a deal with a mag for photos of her first baby daughter, Victoria Beckham is taking to Twitter to show her off.
Victoria and husband David have three boys and one girl now. She was born last week and was named Harper Seven for a variety of reasons that David fully explained over the weekend.
Now, both Victoria and David are gushing about their bundle of joy and showing her off on their respective social networking sites.
On Twitter, Victoria writes, “Daddy’s little girl” next to a black and white photo of David cuddling little Harper Seven.
David too is doing the same, but on Facebook. The football star posted a photo of the two most important women in his life, with the caption, “I took this picture of my two girls sleeping.”
Both portraits are in black and white, and show a side of the Beckham family to which fans did not have access before: how they’re like when they’re not surrounded by dozens of paparazzi or TV cameras, the both of them in one of their most private moments.
Speaking of Harper Seven, over the weekend, David took to Facebook to explain how he and Victoria came up with the name. As it turns out, it’s a combination of many things, as we also reported at the time.
Harper, an old English name, was Victoria’s choice, because Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mocking Bird” is her all-time favorite book.
As for Seven, “A lot of people have assumed that it’s just because it was my shirt number that I wore for many years, and part of it is,” David said in a video he posted on his official page.
Seven is a number that made his career and brought him more luck than he would have dared dream. But that was only part of the explanation.
“The other reasons behind ‘Seven’ were because it symbolizes spiritual perfection, Seven Wonders of the World, seven colors of the rainbow and in many cultures around the world, it’s regarded as a lucky number. We love the name. We love Harper Seven,” he added.
