He’s only human after all: in a brand new interview with Wall Street Journal, whose cover he also graces in a pose reminding of Rodin’s The Thinker, David Beckham admits he’s turning gray.

More importantly, he’s been finding more gray hairs since wife Victoria Beckham gave birth to daughter Harper Seven this summer, he says.

It’s not just the hair that’s been changing in time, either.

“Got my first gray a few years ago, and a couple more since we’ve had the little girl [Harper],” the star comes clean for the magazine.

“I definitely feel different than I did 10 years ago. It takes a while for the Achilles to warm up… Once I’ve had my coffee, I’m good,” he says.

Not that he’s complaining, of course, especially about Harper: the star has said before that having a child when he and Victoria least expected it was a miracle come true.

In a statement explaining the child’s rather unusual name, David also talked about how happy he and Victoria were to welcome a baby girl into the family.

He also said that Harper is an old English name, who also happens to be that of Victoria’s favorite author (Harper Lee, “To Kill a Mocking Bird”).

Seven, on the other hand, stands for perfection – which is exactly what the baby girl was to them.

“It symbolizes spiritual perfection, Seven Wonders of the World, seven colors of the rainbow and in many cultures around the world, it’s regarded as a lucky number. We love the name. We love Harper Seven,” David explained.

“We’re very proud of having her in our lives and our family. It’s an amazing time for our family right now,” he added in the same statement, as we also informed you at the time.

In the WSJ interview, David also talks about how Victoria broke the news to him that they were having another child and the extent of his involvement in his H&M bodywear line. More on this here.
