Actor David Arquette has left rehab after completing treatment for his alcohol and emotional problems, his rep confirms for the media. The star checked in shortly after New Year’s Eve, as we also informed you.

People magazine reports that David has completed his treatment and is now doing better, having acknowledged the problem and sought professional help.

“David Arquette checked out of rehab on Sunday, nearly a month after he entered to seek help for ‘alcohol and other issues’,” People writes.

The same publicist insists that Arquette’s issues had nothing to do with drugs, despite reports making the rounds in the press at a certain point.

“‘He has competed his treatment and has left,’ his rep tells People. And, adds another source, the actor is ‘in great spirits. He’s feeling good and he's ready to move forward’,” the celebrity magazine further notes.

For the time being, David will be focusing on his health by attempting to stay sober and not let problems overcome him again.

“David is concentrating on his health and well being right now... although David remains fully supportive and a huge fan of Beacher’s Madhouse and the Roosevelt Hotel,” his publicist says.

David’s problems apparently began shortly after he and his wife of 11 years, Courteney Cox-Arquette, announced their decision to on separate ways.

In the following days, while Courteney kept a very low profile, David was repeatedly photographed looking intoxicated, in the company of scantily clad young girls and men who seemed as intoxicated as he was.

Sitting down with George Lopez in November last year, the actor denied any kind of trouble, saying only that he’d always been rather “wild,” he just never had the chance to show his true colors to the world.

Also then, he asked Lopez not to demonize him for the mere reason that he was trying to have fun. As it turns out, it was more than harmless fun, because the actor really had a problem, which became clear when he went to rehab.
