Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is expected to soon make available for purchase on its airwaves a series of new, very appealing devices, including a successor for the DROID 2 by Motorola, as well as another one for the highly popular DROID Incredible by HTC device.

We already hears some rumors regarding the possible arrival of a HTC DROID Incredible HD smartphone at Verizon, and it appears that the wireless carrier already started the preparations for the handset's arrival.

Rumor has it that Verizon would be gearing up for the release of the Incredible HD sometime before the end of November, and there are great chances that the rumor would pan out in the end, it seems.

The DROID Incredible by HTC is currently available at Verizon for only $149.99 upon the signing of a contract agreement with the carrier, which is $50 cheaper than what Verizon previously asked for it.

Of course, the price tag still includes a $100 mail-in rebate, which will be received in the form of a debit card, but the bottom line is that the DROID Incredible got cheaper, which suggests that it might soon see a successor.

Verizon Wireless made a similar move with another popular smartphone on its airwaves, the Motorola DROID, which received two successors in summer, the DROID X by Motorola and the DROID 2.

For the time being, however, the upcoming availability of DROID Incredible HD was not confirmed, and all might remain only in the rumor side in the end.

However, it won't come as a surprise if Verizon would indeed make a DROID Incredible HD available for purchase on its airwaves.

HTC announced in September the launch of a HTC Desire HD handset, which sports the same 4.3-inch touchscreen display as HTC EVO 4G does, and Verizon is certainly looking forward to bring the device to its users.

If rumors would indeed pan out, we should hear something official on this in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on this space for more.
