Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was a pretty ambitious project, aiming to bridge the gap between the two halves of the movie trilogy through a video game which focused on a previously unknown characters, Starkiller. LucasArts managed to create a million selling title but a lot of people complained about the repetitive gameplay and about the limited impact that the story had on the Star Wars universe.

Now the developers are working on a sequel, set to arrive on October 26 of this year, and it seems that the people at LucasArts are interesting in bringing in more big characters from the Star Wars universe. Darth Vader will, of course, return as the main antagonist for Starkiller and a recent gameplay demo shown at the Comic Con also confirmed that Bobba Fett, the best known bounty hunter in the galaxy, will also be making an appearance in The Force Unleashed II. LucasArts says that he will be playing an important role in the narrative, probably working for Vader in order to track down leaders of the Rebellion or Starkiller himself.

The developers have also talked about the main characters going to the planet of Dagobah in order to search for answers, which might mean that a meeting with Yoda is in the works. Fans have speculated about his role in The Force Unleashed II since the initial teaser trailer for the video game was launched, his voice could clearly be heard in the background.

The story for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II will see Starkiller escape from captivity in order to track his long lost love and exact revenge on Darth Vader. It seems that the protagonist is actually a clone, which might explain his lack of memories linked to the events of the first game. The game is being created for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, the PC, the Nintendo Wii and the DS.
