LucasArts has announced that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, the third person action adventure title that will be launched in the fall of this year, is getting a Collector's Edition, which can now be pre-ordered by fans of the universe eager to get the best experience of the game that aims to bridge the gap between the two series of the feature length Star Wars movies.

The Collector's Edition of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II comes complete with a Steel Book that holds the entire content of the package and with three additions to the actual game experience: three new exclusive levels for the Challenge Mode, a new skin for the main character created by Ralph McQuarrie, called Deak Starkiller and an exclusive crystal for the lightsaber the main character wields.

It's not clear whether LucasArts plans to deliver these in-game items to gamers who pick the normal version of the title after some sort of exclusivity period for owners of the Collector's Edition.

Those who buy the Collector's Edition also get a Mimobot 2 GB USB flash drive that will hold wallpapers based around the Star Wars universe, the entire script of The Force Unleashed II as written by Haden Blackman and a digital art book that shows off the way artists created the unique look of the videogame.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II will again feature Starkiller as the main character, although it’s not clear how he survived the canonical ending of the first videogame. There are hints that he is in fact a clone looking to reconnect with his existence and reunite with an old lover. The main antagonist will be Darth Vader and the fans of the Star Wars universe can expect to fight, using lighsabers and Force powers, everything from stormtroopers to walkers.
