Canon has finally decided to reveal its lineup for the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2014, which opens its doors to the public tomorrow, February 13.

Besides the entry-level Rebel T5 / 1200D DSLR and high-end G1 X Mark II compact shooter, Canon also introduced a new superzoom digital camera as part of its PowerShot series.

The new SX700 HS comes equipped with a 16.1MP CMOS sensor, the latest DIGIC 6 processor, and a 30x optical zoom lens with a 35mm focal length of 25-750mm and f/3.2-6.9 maximum aperture. Among its features we can also find built-in Wi-Fi and NFC support, manual exposure control, and 1080p Full HD video capture at 60 frames per second.

Moreover, the SX700 HS also features Canon's Zoom Framing Assist function that allows you to instantly back out, recompose the image, and return to the previous focal length with the push of a button.

Canon SX700 HS will be available on market shelves in black or red starting next month, at a suggested retail price of $349.99 / €257.
