14 DAY TRIAL // February 12 is here and, as promised, Nippon camera, optics, and photographic equipment manufacturer Canon has officially revealed its latest entry-level digital SLR camera model, the EOS Rebel T5 / 1200D / Kiss X70.
While the past few days have seen quite a few rumors about this new DSLR, let's take a closer look at what Canon has prepared for customers looking to purchase their first entry-level DSLR.
Canon EOS Rebel T5 comes equipped with a 18MP APS-C CMOS image sensor and DIGIC 4 image processing engine capable of delivering high-quality stills and video footage even in low-light conditions thanks to an ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 6,400 (expandable to ISO 12,800).
The camera is also capable of capturing 1080p Full HD video footage using various frame rate values and recording sizes, while providing manual control over exposure, focus, and Live View features whenever needed.
Canon's new EOS Rebel T5 features a nine-point AF system with one cross-type AF point in the center and is compatible with the full line of Canon EF and EF-S lenses.

Along with the EOS Rebel T5, Canon also announced the new Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II that offers full E-TTL wireless autoflash support when used along with 600EX-RT Speedlites.
Canon EOS Rebel T5 / 1200D / Kiss X70 with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens kit will be available starting March at a price of $549.99 / €400.
