14 DAY TRIAL // Eager fans of Bungie's FPS and owners of Crackdown also, got up early this morning to download the Halo 3 Beta and join the fight. But, as it turned out, those who tried downloading the Beta through crackdown couldn't. The reason? Crackdown. Fortunately however, Bungie's staff got right on the issue and immediately fixed it. Thus, they've released an update for Crackdown. Check it out, see if it works!

"We're happy to finally announce that the issues being faced with the Halo 3 beta and Crackdown will be resolved shortly. The Microsoft team has found a solution and it's undergoing final testing now. They apologize for the mess-up of course and get on it. Next thing you know, Bungie "goes live" to inform gamers that the Beta is up and going, even through Crackdown.
"We are happy to inform you that the "Halo 3" multiplayer beta is now accessible for everyone who purchased "Crackdown". The Microsoft team has been working on a software update, which went live shortly after 7:00pm PDT tonight and is accessible through "Crackdown" in the Downloads section."
They apologize again and make a very satisfying promise to faithful Halo gamers saying that "given the circumstances, we will be extending the duration of the "Halo 3" multiplayer beta from June 6 to June 10, 11:59 PM PDT."
