This spring, Britney Spears fans will be having the time of their life, as the star’s much-mediated album is coming out in stores. Hours ago, Britney released the artwork for the cover and announced the title: “Femme Fatale.”

Since she’s made a habit out of keeping in touch with her fans mostly via Twitter and her official webpage, it was only to be expected for the announcement about the album to be made on Twitter as well.

The other day, Spears’ management tweeted an update advising fans to keep an eye out for the title and artwork for the album.

Then, Britney herself started tweeting, telling fans / followers how the album was actually her gift to them, for standing by her through thick and thin, and never ceasing to be supportive of everything she did.

“I’ve poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I’ve put everything I have into it,” the pop star says.

“This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!” Britney wrote.

She then added a few words more about the album: “Dangerous yet mysterious. Cool yet confident!” Beautiful and strong. “Femme Fatale.”

The album comes out in March and, if the first single off it is any indication, it will probably set charts on fire: “Hold It Against Me” managed to break a few records in its first week of release.

Speaking of the album just recently, songwriter Claude Kelly revealed that it would be more like “Blackout” and less like “Circus,” and that it would mark the return of Britney’s music in clubs and atop pop charts.

“She’s always ready. Dr. Luke and Max Martin are running the show, and it’s all about the beats. It has a heavier bass line and it’s much harder, more urgent, more club. She’s ready again!” Kelly said, as we also informed you at the time.
