For those of you that had been keeping tabs, Biostar was among the very first motherboard manufacturers to showcase their LGA 1155 boards back in September, today, the Taiwnese company just making official their entire Sandy Bridge mobo line-up that is composed of four new LGA 1155 offerings.

Made up of two “Extreme Edition” and two “T-Series” boards, all the board will feature USB3.0 and SATA 6Gbps connectivity as well as 100% solid capacitors, the two Extreme Edition offerings also coming THX TruStudio Pro certified.

This leads me to believe that Biostar will use a more advanced sound codec compared to its competitors, so we may be getting closer to the moment when we will be able to break free from those low-end sound chips that motherboard manufacturers seem to love so much (for their price more than for their performance).

In addition, to differentiate their motherboards for the competition, Biostar's future offerings will also come with a “BIO-Remote2” utility that allows users to control their PC's via WiFi by using their cell phone, this software being available for Android as well as iOS devices (as a free download from their app stores).

On the PC side, users will have access to over 10 Microsoft software programs for multimedia, photo viewing, entertainment, business, as well as a bunch of Biostar exclusive utilities.

Getting back to the actual motherboards, the TP67XE and TP67B+ will come as full ATX offerings and will make use of Intel's P67 chipset while the TH67XE and TH67+ will use the m-ATX form factor and Intel H67 chipset.

All of them will feature two PCI Express x16 slots, two USB 3.0 ports, RAID 0/1/5/10 support as well as Gigabit Ethernet networking, although the CPU power delivery circuit will be differer from one motherboard to the other, the Extreme Edition motherboards coming with 10-phase (TP67XE) or 7-phase (TH67XE) power, while the two T-Series motherboard come with a simpler 5-phase power delivery circuit.

Unfortunately, the press release was not accompanied by motherboard pictures, although Biostar's Chinese website does feature some images with three of these offerings, the TH67XE strangely missing from the pack.
