The Bralorne Mining Company (BLNM) announced that its subsidiary, Beijing Quan Tong Chang Information Service Limited (Beijing QTC), has won a contract from China Netcom Group Shanghai Branch (CNC) to provide an international call forwarding service that significantly reduces roaming charges. Beijing QTC is the first telecom service provider to introduce this service in China and will deploy the solution in more than 40 major Chinese cities in 2007.

The international call forwarding service, branded "Follow-me", will target users who frequently travel overseas and was developed to reduce the expensive international mobile roaming charges these users have to pay. To use the service, mobile users only need to register their mobile numbers on QTC's network and purchase a separate prepaid value "Travel SIM Card" to be used at the destination of travel. The roaming change price per minute is much lower than that of a domestic IP phone, with a fee of $0.15/min.

Beijing QTC started the development of the International Call Forwarding Service in 2005. By signing the agreement with CNC Shanghai Branch, Beijing QTC launches the service in Shanghai through CNC's shared wireless networking resource platform. Research statistics show that every year, about 40 million potential consumers in China will benefit from this new product. Beijing QTC is currently transforming its core IP service business into International Call Service and in 2007, the mobile softswitch solution will be available for commercial use in over 40 major cities in China.

"The successful deployment of Beijing QTC's international call forwarding service into Shanghai is of great significance to us. It demonstrates our excellent R&D ability in our core business of wireless mobile network service," said Mr. Zhang Feng Ming, President of BLNM. "Beijing QTC will then focus on nationwide market exploitation and we are very pleased to see that our networking products and services are now ready for the future."
