I don't know about you guys but to me, it seems that things are moving very fast in the new year. That is true at least in the mobile market and probably this has something to do with the launch of the Apple iPhone.

As the Samsung officials have said, the iPhone is not only a threat to the other mobile phone manufacturers but also an impulse to become better and offer better products.

One of the manufacturers that do their job and do it without making too much waves is Asus, a company that has entered one of its products in the race for an iF Design Award.

The device in question is the Asus Pegasus Pocket PC phone and if you wonder where have you heard that name before, you should know that was their name before deciding to dump the first three letters (PEG) for some unknown reason.

The Pegasus has been spotted at the iF Design Awards product gallery and at a first glance, I can only tell you this is a PDA phone most customers will definitely put their money down just to be on top of the waiting list.

From the looks of it, this 15.4 mm slim Pocket PC handheld has a front numeric keypad, jog dial and will easily be used by the ones that fancy the idea of single handed control.

The case of this device will instantly make you feel a sensation of luxury and the details of the camera body, diamond-cut edges and brushed aluminum finish will surely accentuate it and make even the pickiest users want to hold on to it a little bit longer.

Furthermore, this will probably be a device that will combine the functionality of a cellphone with PDA capability and GPS navigation system, all-in-one single good looking package.
