The new Shine comes with a Korean alphabet inspired design

The recently introduced Designer's Edition of LG Shine, created by fashion designer Sang-bong Lee, looks almost the same as the original Shine, except for the inscribed Korean alphabet motif on the back.

Now, in case you wanted to know what's written on the back, but don't understand Korean, the phone is inscribed with verses from a poem called "Starry Night" written by one of the greatest Korean poets, Dong-ju Yun.

As for the design, LG Shine is just as good looking as the LG Chocolate, maybe even more so, and features a brushed metal case and a mirrored display.

The original Shine, also known as the LG-SV420, features a 2 megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach camera with flash, a 2.6 inch display with 240 x 320 resolution, 1Gb of memory, an MP3 player and Muvee Video studio.

The Designer Edition The Shine is only available in Korea for now, and it is likely that the Designer Edition will not be available anywhere else either, at least for the time being. But because the mobile phones from the Chocolate series have been a huge success world-wide, hopefully the Shine will eventually be released outside of Korea as well.

According to the producer, Shine Designer's Edition is the first device to have a Korean alphabet-inspired design. LG is doing a really great job, releasing one great-looking phone after the other, first the Chocolate series, followed by the Shine, and with the recently announced partnership with Prada, we can only expect some pretty amazing mobile phones.
