After Siemens releasing a series of Escada phones, and Motorola showing that they can also turn their RAZR into a golden fashion phone in partnership with Dolce & Gabbana, it is now LG's turn to follow the trend and present their fans with similar phones by joining forces with Prada.

LG Electronics and Prada announced their exclusive partnership and their main goal, to develop iconic mobile phones that represent a perfect combination between design and features, offering the best both in style and performance.

Keeping in mind that the LG Chocholate is famous enough for its design without an LG-Prada partnership, we have reason to expect some pretty interesting handhelds as a result.

LG's newest projects will combine high-end technology with stunning good looks in the hope that they will qualify as some of the few mobile phones to be classified as iconic, and become very popular among users and, why not, remain in the users' memories over the years.

The handhelds will feature an advanced touch interface, instead of the conventional keypad, following the footsteps of the already popular LG mobile phone - the Chocolate - and which are intended to set off for Europe first in early 2007.

Considering the fact that there's not so much time left until the release date, there should be more information regarding these mobile phones pretty soon.

After their release in Europe, the mobile phones will soon after make their debut in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore or Taiwan and are scheduled to launch in Korea in the second quarter of 2007.
